By his questions , if this person is a genius in observing things and spotting what has to be done, or told. By asking a question you can get people to understand your point of view through their own answers, Socrates was good at it.
By his answers, because some questions are not just rethorical and demand techological or practical knowledge, if creativity is an answer to the questions of life, look at the work of Mozart. Moreover, answering your own question consistenly is also a good thing.
By his silence, because there a moment to ask, a moment to answer and a moment to listen and stand still, just observing. Being a genius doesn't mean rushing for an occasion to prove you are one, Lao-tsi was a silence genius.
By the way, how would you define a genius ?

It can be either or neither, and mostly depends on what you mean by genius and what the "genius" is a genius at.
I certainly wouldn't want to judge Mozart by either his question or on how he answered your question.

I think that being here does not have as purpose to "judge the genius One". It is all about giving answers and advice...a genius one is out of place here...

Both, either one can show how well thought out, organised a persons thought process is. And the contents will show the persons intelligence, whether educated formally, or by life's lessons. Of course none of this is nesesarily a sign of genius, only intelligent thought. Sorry.

Any question will strike an interest to some one. According to your life experiences. the question will determine how you feel about that particular category, and be reflected in your answer. Then, there are are a great majority of people who post silly questions, and in return receive silly answers.

Neither. TRUE genius is Action, not merely saying the right thing or asking the piercing question, but more so, your actions...interactions with society.
Remember...actions speak louder than words....
