In WWII people grew freedom gardens, didn't travel, and rationed goods. How has this war personally affected the average American.
In other words how is your life different because of the war?

Even though I am in the army. I personally have not gave up anything. The army moved me to Germany and put me in a clinic. I have actually gained because of this war.

Well, my husband has been home for a total of 15 months in the past three years - he is fighting the war. I can tell you that my life is drastically different without him here - I miss him, but my life is WAY better than the life he has been living overseas so I am not about to start whining about it.

The Occupation is just the largest part of what we've all lost courtesy of the Consevative policies of the last 25 years which have peaked under the reign of King Chimpy.
Gas prices, consumer goods prices, monies that could be better spent on investments to invigorate this pitiful economy, the overall wealth shift that has stagnated the growth of our Nation as a whole, limiting the finances available for upward social mobility, development.
The only reason this occupation continues is that the costs and sacrifices of this war have been intentionally manipulated as not to reflect a direct impact on the lives of present day citizenry. The 12 trillion dollar shift in the National Debt can only add to the problems our Gov't will face in funding the programs that made our Nation great.

i lost some money at the gas station that's about it but im not sure if that's because of the war. I just think it has something to do with it. I sacrificed by not going on more road trips because the gas prices are so high.

I sacrificed a lot of money, and I watched another war, just like Vietnam, one that I was in, based on a lie! Do you have any idea what this war is doing to Vietnam vets?
I have had all my records from Yahoo, including searches, given to the FBI. I have had personal liberties guaranteed me stripped from the Constitution!
I have seen my country become the most hated in the world!
And who knows what other crap they have pulled as it is against the law for anyone to say anything to you about what records, including medical, that the government has accessed!
I have watched Bush strip VA, of which i belong, of over 100 BILLION in 2006 and has another cut for them in his current budget! He also has another tax cut for the rich!
Go read the Military Commissions Act of 2006 and see what you could lose, from being arrested with no charges, having no access to civilian courts, denied habeas corpus, denied the right to a grand Jury and a trial by my peers!
And this isn't WWII! This is an illegal attack on a sovereign nation that had nothing to do with 9/11 ar terrorist!!
Want me to go on?

A lot of people have gained from this war. There are 500 new millionaires thanks to the blood money in Iraq!
And a hell of a lot of people died, including 3.465 military sent home in body bags and another 32,000 who are going to access the lousy health care they are going to get in the US, many with body parts missing because of IED's and unarmoured Humvees!!
If it were you in a body bag you might have a different opinion than the one you have on a cake tour in Germany!!

Nothing.
Only get kick on the butts by our brothers and sister from the middle-east who expose that I am a living human kind and not people of different races of self racism in faraway land.
How they led me to the missing x-files.
That turned out to be the greatest jokes when all this while they were self discriminating themselves with total loss of our creator's universal gifts of life that was lost with time vital for their own survival and advancement of themselves until they all ended up with faulty sexual system and suffering from sexual erectile dysfunction and self expose with self prides of self images of standing idol with idol worshiping and not in worshiping God in planet of apes.

this war has not affected any one except the ones who have friends relatives or loved ones involved, but that don't make it any more easier, of course some corp, and mfg. make a killing on any war, so in essence their money is blood money.
