I have an idea for a movie that I really like. Is there any way that I would be able to pitch it to a film studio or a production company? If not, what should I do with my idea?

The first thing you must do with any idea is write it out completely. Not in scruciating detail, an outline to start. While you are looking for someone to pitch it to (publisher, movie producer, TV producer, etc.) flesh it out. Keep filling in more and more detail. The more complete your idea is, the more convincing it is for someone else.
As a habit, keep notebooks of your ideas. Then you won't forget them. You can always go back to your starting ideas and pick out one when you need one and can't think of one at the moment.
