The UN cannot have failed at that goal, because that was never their goal. They do not have the authority to enforce the peace.

The goal of the UN was to support and encorage peace, by providing a place for countries to negotiate and work together.

Whether they have done the best they can is a different debate.

But they were never able to "keep the peace", both because there was no peace for them to kep, and because they didn't have the authority to force countries to create the peace. Since it was never possible, they cannot have failed.

The united Nations will be an organization for the whole nations when the super powers have the same rights as the other countries since equality is the basis which is completely missed there. There will be peace when the super powers stop their greeds . When the whole world can say no to America, there will be peace.
