i know i have to buy the top and tail bowl for the baby. but i don't know how to use it. people don't use it in mauritius. what is its purpose. sorry my question is very stupid but i really want to know.

You dont actually have to buy this bowl. To "top and tail" your baby is just to clean them without a bath. So for the top you clean their face, neck, behind ears etc, and for the tail, its their bum etc.
when I had my first baby I understand either so you are not stupid!! People just assume you know these things..

You dont need to buy one of these. Just use an ordinary bowl (a breakfast bowl will do). Fill it with warm water and start with the face and work your way down. Once you have cleaned his bottom, dont go back and clean his face as you will have dirtied the water.

You put water in both sides then you use one side to clean the top of your baby eyes, ears, face underarms, useing a clean piece of cotton wool for each eye etc, then use the other side of the bowl to clean your babys tail end ,Bottom area etc.

It is just a bowl for washing the baby in, top and tail means, head and bum, don't be mean and keep it clean.

you dont have to have it, I never had one for my kids. A baby bath will do fine.
