Why is there a lot of suicide bombers in Afghanistan?

What's your guys's analysis on these types of people?

In many middle eastern countries it is considered a heroic and honorable death to be a suicide bomber. Add in the NATO military activity and you have the perfect breeding ground. The fact that I think they are nuts aside, in many cases the families of suicide bombers are placed on pedestals and paid for their sacrifice.

If you have nothing, then you have nothing to lose. If some idiot thinks he gets 70 virgins and a spot in Heaven if he blows up an Infidel then he loses nothing and gains everything. Thats why it hurts so bad when U.S. Military get killed. They have comparatively good lives and lots of stuff already, with the chance to get a cushy Government job when they successfully complete their Military service. They dont want to die for anyone. Whats even worse than death is the severe brain injuries that leave our kids in a vegetative state and need permanant care in a nursing home. These dont count as "Fatalities".

I think people do credit Iraq being one big terrorism training ground. Plus lack of control over borders in middle east. So we may have situation where people walk over to Iraq, get hands on training experience with IEDs and move over to Afgah and bomb more stuff. Lot of similar bombing techniques(seen in Iraq) began showing up in Afgah sometime after Iraq War 2003.
