I read that scientist studying satellite pictures have found that other planets are heating up.
I don't doubt that co2 damages the earth atmosphere, but it not the only cause.

Pluto heats up and cools down during its year, because its orbit around the sun is a more eccentric ellipse than that of other planets in our solar system. So it is much closer to the sun at some points in its orbit than others.
Jupiter is a massive gas giant, and is heating up because it has its own internal heat source - the "Kelvin-Helmholtz mechanism" where heat is generated due to the the slow gravitational compression of the planet.
Earth also has a natural cycle of warming and cooling which is closely linked with the Sun's cycle of magnetic activity. The current rate of global warming (over the past 40 years or so) can only be explained if an increase in the "greenhouse effect" resulting from human production of CO2 is taken into account.
The most comparable example of global warming on another planet is Venus. In the past Venus has experienced run-away global warming due to CO2 and Methane entering its atmosphere (most likely due to volcanic activity). This dense atmosphere produces a "greenhouse effect" which has raised the surface temperature of the planet by about 400 degrees to over 740 K, which is enough to melt lead.

The planet venus has a natural atmosphere containing a lot of CO2. It is the hottest planet in the solar system even though Mercury is closer. This is because thwe carbon dioxide doesn't like the heat escape, just like it doesn't on Earth. However this wouldn't be classified as global warming, because its always been that hot.

How could Pluto and Jupiter be bothered by our CO2 emissions?
I bet there are just as many planets 'suffering' from global warming as there suffering from 'global cooling.' It's a documented, natural cycle.
Speaking of global cooling, look at the picture/painting of George Washington's crossing of the Delaware. See all that ice? Global cooling.
Oh, and the previous poster who said Pluto is a star needs to be shot.

It's quite possible. CO2 certainly isn't the only cause of global warming. Planets cool and warm in cycles all the time. CO2 is, however, the leading suspect in unnaturally rapid global warming.

It is possible, as the sun is passing through certain phases every few thousand years, emitting more or less energy and thus heating more or less each planet.
Also, the planets orbit can slightly shift in time, increasing or decreasing the distance from the sun, or the angle at which the light (and heat) is received.
These natural effects happen on a very small scale, and are quite negligible, but unfortunately, here on Earth, they are added to the green house effect caused by people.

co2 is just ONE greenhouse gas, there are several other gases that can trap sunlight and heat up a planet. the compositions of pluto and jupiter may allow for those planets to heat up from other gases or perhaps there are other forces heating up those object, maybe nuclear decay over the eons. trust me, here on earth co2 is the main culprit!!!!!!

The cause of global warming is the sun. Any notion that it is caused by anything we do is just plain human arrogance. We are far less significant than we would like to believe.

erm guess they could be going through cyclical changes just like we could be but we seem to be the only planet in our system that has a carcinogenic growth of humans on it.
