It was the americans. The CIA was funneling funds to SA and rhodesia as well as th the SA's to fight in Angola and swa. Suddenly SA became too hot a potatoe for the americans to support us and they broke all their promises to us and forced vorster to abandon rhodesia or face sanctions. They however continued supporting us in Angola and then that too became to hot and they dropped us their too. Al j Venter records all that in his book the challenge

He did not stub anybody, he was simply realistic to his own situation. Furthermore, he was not there for the welfare of Ian Smith or the like of him outside S.A.
