I was wondering what is the legal age to drive a Go-Kart in California. Is it Ilegal to ride an Off Road Go-Kart on the road?

You can drive a go-kart off road at any age in any state
You can not drive a go-kart ON the road at any age in any state !!
The vehicle is not -- and can not Be licensed for the road
it is considered an off-road recreational vehicle and has no
safety standards set by law for its ability TO BE licensed !!
This is not to say that they don't find their way onto roadways all over the country--- but when they are caught at this-- the penalties can be quite severe !!

No! It is considered a 'Motorized Vehicle' and you must have a Drivers' License' to operate a vehicle on any street.A vehicle must also be registered and insured to be on the street.If you can,find a field or abandoned parking lot to ride on.Get permission first.Then have a BLAST!!!

For the US it is against the law to do so. Anywhere in the world, it flirts with breaking Darwin's law as well. The main issue is being seen by the goober in his H2 as he aquaints you with his underpinnings.

If it is street legal (registered and has license plates), YES. If not, NO! Even if it is street legal, you have to have a license.
