A K20 would seriously dominate if you could afford the swap but if you are on a budget then go for a B18C1, the GS-R motor. 175hp and 131ft/lbs, its a decent start. Add some cams and pulleys and I/H/E and that thing should be in the low 14s high 13s depending on driver. The B18C1 is about 3000-4000 dollars depending on mileage. Taking out seats and sound deadening material to reduce weight would pay off tremendously in a car like that. If you dont want to take all that out then add a turbo kit and call it a day as that car will smoke so many cars out their.

K20 i good swap but not for crx 89 , u can drop the b18c5 , and will get 210 hp

if u want to drop k20 u need to change the mounts , and that will cost you. drop the b18c5 with some modifications and u will get a Strong car dude.

K20A costs 6000$
B18C5 costs 4000$

those 2000$ u can use them to buy special parts .

you can get any b series engine to 600 hp probally the only reason why they went with the b20 is cause of torque now that k20 stuff nah that aint gonna work unless u got phat pockets droppin a type r is alot to but worth it

if I were u I'd put a b18 in it because for the weight of your car it would haul *** and they aren't as expensive as a b 20 plus they rev higher

check out japanese tuner TOP-FUEL.. they got 8 second CRXs (B18c cyc head,B20 bottom,Turbo kit) 600hp
