This question is meant for the british, not americans!!!
Mrs T is Mrs Thatcher not the wife of a wimp who didn't like flying.
The answer is that GB (strange he has those initials) has screwed us out of so many stealth taxes that its difficult to know which to compain about - there are just not enough hours in the day.
Its time for the unions to come back in order that the people can be represented by powerful concerns. It used to be labour that did this but they are a discrace to the name now and they all p-iss in the same pot so the other parties appear just as bad.
Having unions providing opposition always gave a balance to political power, yes they became toadies of the red brigade but most of the time they did a good job in keeping the political idiots in check. People have learned their lessons about the bad side of unions so the past mistakes will not be made.
The laws against the unions were a law against people's rights and its been downhill ever since.

our society is getting weaker by the day , our people don't want to make a stand for any thing , they had rather have their six pack and go to work every day and put a bolt in a fender or? and tell how smart they are,and let our enemy's come right into our country and homes to destroy us , and I don't think they will wake up until they are being led away in chains,
Corygraph, now that you have identified the problem, tell us how to keep from electing these damn crooks and thieves?we only get a choice between 2 crooks and then we have got to vote for who we will think will be the lesser of the evil

There are so many things that we should be taking to the streets over not only taxes. We are sleepwalking into becoming a high tax, spied on, put down, enslaved, caged, cowed nation.
The government of the day is more than happy to see us smoking weed, shoving coke up our noses and getting paralytic on booze because they hope we won't see what a hell they are creating for future generations.

Poll taxes prevented people from being able to vote.
Now, Congress is levying taxes -- but we're still electing Congress. It's completely different being taxed without being able to vote, compared to being taxed by the people we are electing.
If we keep electing a Congress that keeps raising taxes, then we have nobody to blame but ourselves.

I had no idea Maggie Thatcher was married to Mr. T
No wonder he was too embarrassed to use his full last name.
