Is there a keyboard shortcut where one needs a current date put in a cell in Excel?

Use
CTRL + ;
it will get the today date as constant

OR

Use =TODAY()
to get the date of today to entered and change as variable every time you open the file

the shortcut for the current date is as follows:

Ctrl + ; (semicolon)
