I'm sorry to ask such an ugly question on Y!A, but I don't know of anyone personally who I could ask. I had some trouble with a drunk guy about a month ago (not rape, tg, but it messed me over pretty well anyway) - and the after-effects are confusing as anything. I'd love to hear from someone who's been through something similar. Were you angry? Did you feel like you owed the person anything? Did you want to talk to them about it? Or anything else different.

Thank you for any input - I really appreciate it.

Yep, anger is very common and is a good thing to feel as long as you don't let it build into anything. Unfortunately assaults of any kind will stay with you forever and only dull a little over the passage of time. However, now that you have had this experience and will definitely it, what is the likelihood of it happening again? Pretty slim, huh? See, it was a painful experience, but a learning one at that. I suggest you get a little book or journal, and write down everything you feel from day to day...anger, pain, hurt, etc. I never wanted to talk to my attackers, just see them behind bars nor did I feel I owed them anything. You shouldn't either. Ever. Hope this helps!!!

No matter what happens to you in life you have to take it as a learning experience. Consider yourself lucky that you weren't rapped bc it sounds like that could have happened. To move on from something you have to let it go and become at peace with it. Im not saying that you have to agree with it or be ok with it, but you have to draw the line and deal with it somewhere. Hopefully you'll find a guy who understands your issues and will help you with them.
