On the contrary. While you should not kiss your baby if you ARE sick (ie: With a cold or other contagious illness), kissing your baby is actually good. It's one of those things that was socially developed in human evolution that cannot quite be explained, such as laughter.
Why do people always feel the need to kiss babies?
It turns out that this little social behavior has a use in our development and survival. Scientists have found that kissing a baby may in fact pass on antibodies and otherwise help to boost their immune system.
Does this mean that you should encourage everyone to kiss your baby...all the while smothering them with constant kisses? Not necessarily. What it does mean is that there is nothing wrong with kissing your baby. I imagine that a child that is raised with affection will be all the better for it.

I've thought the same thing, I'd say yes if your sick, but just try to kiss the cheeks away from the mouth. Baby's are so adorbale and kissable, I think that we've been having babies and kissing them for thousands of years so I'm sure it's more of a benefit than a harm. It's instinct and love! What baby doesn't need that!

Yours baby's mental health would be at risk from a parent who doesn't show affection or teach their child important emotional milestones like waving hello, goodbye, hug and kiss.
It would be rediculous to ask if a child can get 'sick' from being kissed. I would refrain if you have anything contagious like coldsore, cold, flu or stomach flu etc but in general, no.

If you kiss her it will make her and you feel better but hold back if you have anything contagious or you could give it to her but in most cases a simple kiss wont hurt . if you think you may have something call a real Dr. and ask them about it not us. good luck and as you raise her remember doing whats right is not always whats fun.

Yes, if you are sick. If you are healthy, kiss her to your heart's content. Kisses will release endorphins in both you and her, making for happy parents and a happy baby!

No but not showing your baby affection can lead to emotional problems in the child later on in life.
