My mom's been using it for years, she absolutely loves it. The infommerical isn't a fabrication..it's really simple to apply and has excellent coverage without the weight and film you get from other makeup brands.

I tried Bare Escentuals a few years back, and it's all right, but I prefer other mineral makeup. Mineral makeup is the only way to go, though! It covers wonderfully and treats your skin well. I use Monave mineral makeup. They make a concealer powder that offers more coverage than any other mineral makeup I've tried, and their loose mineral foundation has a lovely feel and isn't shiny or irridescent like Bare Escentuals is.
My friend who keeps track of my makeup usage remarks all the time about how great and clear my skin looks since I've been using mineral makeup. I don't know if it's all to do with that, but either way I love it, so I wouldn't ever switch back to the old liquid or cream concealer and foundation. It seems like paint and spackle when I think of it now.
You can check out Monave here:
http://www.monave.com
They have sample kits for $10 with 4 colors of the loose mineral foundation, and they send you tryouts of eye and face colors whenever you order. The sample kits may not be free, but they're an amazing bargain at $10. So much so that I still get sample kits to get a broad variety of shades. They last months! But even the full-size mineral foundations are a great deal there. The only thing I have to say is don't get the setting powder. It's really awful. I still use Bare Minerals (Bare Escentuals) Mineral Veil for that. I do love the Mineral Veil.
There's also a less expensive mineral makeup I've seen people recommend called EverydayMinerals that you might check out.
Do try mineral makeup! It's amazing. It's so quick, but lasts so well, and looks so good. . . it's literally changed my life.

I have some of the products. I say yes and no they are good. Perhaps I have not gotten down the technique, but you can see powder on my skin. They have a product called skin rever upper. It helps the minerals go on better. I think it might just work as well as using moisturizer however. I have really sensitive skin and I could tollerate the makeup except the eye shaddow. You also do not just have to buy the products from bare essentials you can get them at sephora.com or at qvc.com I think it was better for me to buy the first kit from the company however because they give a lot of freebies on the first order. Also you can get a dvd or vhs with the first kit and it really helps with instructions.
As for if they are good I just have not decided yet. One would think so because other makeup companies are copying.

I absolutely love it. The only thing that bothers me is that its really messy. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but every day I have to put a washcloth on my counter before I do my make-up because it gets everywhere. Because of this, I went through all of it in less than 3 months:(

I don't know about you,
But my sister had terrible acne, and a lot of the make up she tried just made her break out. When we got her Bare Essentials, she looked a lot better, and the minerals and powder formula didn't worsen her acne. She also said she liked how she looked. I would totally reccomend it.
Hope that helps!

Yes, I love it. Been using it for over 5 years now. Application is key, though, and you may have to practice to get it right. Definitely worth trying, if you want a foundation that looks and feels natural!

I'm a low maintaneance kinda girl, so I love how easy the application of the make up was and how fast it took...I also have problem skin and this make up has really helped with it..ot does hide imperfectins while making it seem like you arent even wearing make up...I love it!

I have used it and I like it, but I felt more comfortable using my liquid foundation and have gone back to my old stuff. Its worth trying it though, you may love it and stick with it. Its non-irritating.
