I also read Eragon and Eldest and loved them, I can't wait for part three. You might want to check out The Keys To The Kingdom series by Garth Nix. Or you could try The Children of the Red King by Jenny Nimmo(also known as the charlie bone series)

I love to read and will read anything. Chic lit books are a bit boring though. Try reading Lord of the Rings. Heavy going, but you get to find out what's missed out of the films.
Gore Vidal books are a good read, some are a bit raunchy, but if that's what you want (in a tasteful way) read Jaun M Auel,s books - the earth children series. Very Very good.

How about "The Davinci Code" by Dan Brown. I didn't like the book myself but it sold 40 million copies when it came out. So it must be pretty good.
