Do you look at the glass 1/2 full? or 1/2 empty? That is the question. Our pasts contain both good memories & bad. Sometimes, even really hurting ones.
But let the past, stay the past!
Live for today. We're not perfect, we all make mistakes & so does everyone else :)

Do you mean why does the past always keep us depressive? I think most people feel depressive sometime since, one of the reasons, it's one of our natural responses to those stimuli around us, some are highly demanding while some are not. therefore, we need to learn how to cope with some stress once in a while. Some professional advice from a medical journal or a general one with a medical doctor as its contributor usually informs us on our regular habits of relaxation by means of interested hobbies, doing some regular physical exercises, recreation in any form, etc. These are simple for us to do but some people don't care and then the time comes when some get depressive till they feel they can't cope with work, life, family, etc. Surprisingly, most of them find it hard to accept their symptom since it is something added in our mind and we are not aware of it. Thus, the past you mentioned is usually taking effect bit by bit till you or your doctor confirms on the depression.

firstly...take grammar lessons...
i think our past is both depressing and cheerful...depends on how you look at it...a lot of ppl think about the bad stuff thts happened to them in the past...and even when they think about the gud stuff, they get depressed about how it has already passed away....i used to get that way too...but in the end it dawned on me that there is no point regretting about past mistakes...cause you hv developed into a better/ newer person with everyone of them....as for the gud times....be grateful for them but dont feel sad...feel happy that you are still alive and will be able to hv many more such moments :)

Huh? Why does your past always depress you? Maybe because it's hurtful but the past is the past, don't live in it.
