Hi there.
There's 99.99% that it's NOT water proof. HOWEVER, Panasonic is coming up with a "waterproof" laptop.

But for the most part, waterproof "laptops" still doesn't exist yet .. or else it's in developmental stages.

why would anyone want a waterproof laptop? in case you're swimming or snorkeling and suddenly you feel the urge to myspace it or check your email or answer a question on yahoo! answers?

It is not waterproof in its current condition...you must paint it yellow first, then it's waterproof.
