Well its probaly due to you shaving which is a big no no since it will give you a dark over shadow making it look like you've a mustache. What I would do like some of these people suggested is to go to the dermatologist and they would tell you what needs to be done. If you dont want to spend money I would try using heavier make-up on that area or lime juice since lime juice would lighten area but not much.

Is it ur upper lip or above your upper lip? I have a draker upper lip. When I was younger it use to bother me, but I started listening to what my mom said about God making my lip that way. Now, it doesn't bother me. Some even think it's sexy. I use cocoa butter for lip balm but that's because I love the smell and the way it makes my lips feel. The only time my lips do look the same color is when I put on lipstick. But, I think it's beautiful now. Sometimes when I smile, it looks weird, but I learned to shape my lips a certain way and now I think it's gorgeous.

It happens typically when you remove hair, no worries you can bleach your skin to match the rest of your complexion. I'm sure it appears as hair to other people don't feel too bad it's natural just darker skin pigmentation. If you don't feel comfortable using bleach a natural alternative is vitamin e cream or a pure aloe vera plant. Changes won't happen as quickly with the natural remedies but you will see results.

Is it your lip or the skin above your lip? When i was younger and it got windy i would lick my lips and since i was a kid i never carried lip balm so the wind caused the skin above my upper lip to get wind burned causing it to look darker. You just have to wait til it goes away if its even that. =/

believe me...id go to a dermatologist...it might just be that the weather change is giving you a bit of coloring..or maybe a lot! either go to a free consultation with a dermatologist or go to google..and type in random things that have to do with your problem...like " dark upper lip?" or "sun effects on skin"....stuff thatll get you somewhere! when did u start to notice it and do you get alot of sun? those are major effects..!

Oh please...NO waxing, NO bleaching! Go straight for the laser hair removal and be done with it the rest of your life! $500 bucks at ALC (american laser center) also known as advanced laser clinic. Go online and register to win money toward it. They will call you back and give you at least $300. I won it, and my other 2 friends tried it and they got the call back right away...be done with wax, shaving, bleaching, embarassment...etc. you will feel better and be more confident!

After I threaded my upper lip the skin became darker. I started tanning and now you can't even tell.

Have you had any electrolysis done? If so, my mom experienced darkening, almost scar-like. Her electrolysis told her to get a prescription for hydroquinone, a mild ski-bleaching cream. I think you can get it OTC too. It may work even if you issue isn't due to going to an electrolysis.

is it the top of your lip. or your top lip? If it is your top lip get permanent makeup so both match. If you are talking about the top part of your lip get a waxing job or use bleaching cream..but dont do both at the same time....irritation
