Does racism really mean jealousy??

I can't really figure what you mean by that, but I have found that the motivation for racism to be a fear of loss of power. People impose racist ideals, and commit racist actions in effort to hinder others from achieving similar status so that they do not share power and position. Racism is a state of mind that was invented, its not just natural and exists without reason.

In America racism and ideals of inferioirity were invented to legitimize the mistreatment of non whites who capital seeking Europeans settlers would otherwise have share opportunity to wealth and success. Thats when Blacks went from indentured servants to slaves. (Remember that America was a corporation before it was a company)

Again, you find that the argument the motivation of racism in the ante-bellum south was because whites didn't want "negroes taking OUR jobs." Now much racism arises against legal immigrants because no one wants to surender more jobs to people who they feel our outsiders and taking opporunities to employment (which equals money which equals power) from them. In Indian caste system the Brahams label the Untouchables and relegate them to menial jobs which serves to preserves their status by claiming that only they are fit for scholarly jobs.

Notice in each country and culture around the world that most commonly regarded racists group is that which holds the power. Racism is not an invention of the poor in attempt to tarnish the reputations of feelings of the successful dominant group, but a tool of the dominant success group to preserve their own status. To claim that racism is only a figment of poor peoples jealousy is deny the realty and systematic proliferation of prejudices that can be observed being blatantly committed by the dominant class, group, or race across societies.

I guess racism could mean jealousy to some individuals. It could also mean a fear of the unknown...possible lost of power. To me it is as simple as ignorance and intolerance by some individuals. I do agree to a point that most people fear the unknown therefore we can apply the ignorance part of the meaning of the word. The intolerance comes when even if we think we might know or understand the other race we just are so centered in the way we think that we refuse to accept them regardless. No, it is a disease passed on from one generation to another...and younger kids get infected without knowing the meaning or consequences ..they just come into the world , notice the craziness exhibited by their parents and kind ...and so walk that part ...but deep down this kids they are not really racist..and until they find theirselves and part they continue to follow in the shadows of the old evils.i luv all races cos all races are created by GOD. She did not ask if racism towards blacks meant jealousy. And thank God you would not want to be black, b/c we wouldnt want you either w/those ugly *** glasses. Now to answer your question Hailey. Racism does mean jealousy. See the opposite race thinks that if they can take all the bad stuff about us(like Urkel just did)and continue to throw it at us, then we'll become depressed, down trodded and angry and have feeling of no self-worth and respect.Now that anger that we hold against them, we''ll take that out on each other. Why? B/c we can't get to the suburbs-I mean we can but the police will be there b/4 we can even do a little damage, especially if we go as a tribe. So let's see. I'll take it out on my brother or sister, after all we see each other everyday. We go to the same school, we shop at the same malls, we ride on the same bus. We live in the same complex. So then when we start killing each other,(people like Urkel)laugh and gloat with their 3 cars and all their money and say look at those apes, those chimps and gorillas-oh don't forgot brillo heads!!! And so many blacks fall victim to that. But the thing is...Don't let what they say and do be the cause of YOUR failure reverse that **** and be the opposite. That's why me and my family are so strong whether we have all the material things that Urkel just mentioned or not b/c we rely on mental stability and happiness(not material things) Even w/o all that **** Urkel just mentioned, my self-esteem is probably higher than hers by 6 notches. But we maintain that mentality that way they can't say we're killing and destroying ourselves, b/c we do have self-worth, we do have high-self esteem and we do have self-love that's why we don't kill each other. That's why it's important to not all but to so many Hispanics that they "outnumber" us b/c they know the black race is powerful, and they know we have the ability and strength to be a powerful minority if we stick together(they checked us out during the Civil Rights era-if we can go up against the MAJORITY we damn sure ain't(there's my slaing) afraid to go up against the MINORTY so in their minds the only way to defeat us is by outnumbering us, although that's not likely that they can beat us down THAT easily. Not to say that they are weak in the least, hell they took back the Alamo, but you RARELY hear about blacks trying to "outnumber" the Hispanics, numbers don't mean **** to some of us, but I am constantly reading stories and clips about how alot of the spanish desire to "outnumber" us. Let Blacks unify-we'll beat yo azz .They can kill a great number of us, but they'll need the white people to help them EXTERMINATE us as a whole, even with the help of the white man, that would never happen. Anywho, look at how alot of the Hispanics were hating on Beyonce for doing that video with Shakira, Hailey. JEALOUSY. You think Beyonce(a black woman)is jealous of or fears Shakira(a latina) This is what B said-"I am so jealous of Shakira that I will dye my hair the same color as hers hell 10 grammy's isnt enough, I need a beautiful Latina to help my career and make me richer so guess what? I'll ask her to be in MY video so I can proove once and for all that I can belly dance and sing better than her to knock her out the spotlight". Jealousy and fear doesn't ask a beautiful *** woman to collab with you, Respect, confidence and security does that. But this is what fear and jealousy does. It makes one angry that a beautiful and talented Black woman was secure and confident enough to collab with a beautiful and talented Latina woman and make a good song, being that there is so much tension between the black and hispanic race that wasn't supposed to happen. They were supposed to do videos opposite of each other, they can't unite, they must compete. B could've done that joint with ANYBODY-but it was SUPPOSED to be Shakira. So in closing. Does racism mean jealousy? Yes it does right along with fear.

I think maybe to some degree but i think it has a lot to to with a lot of ingredients. Some being hatred, evil, ignorance, etc. All which satan is the author of. God is not a part of any of that. May God Bless U.

That could be one reason....

For example DnBprincess' comments above... the things that you "have" 3 cars, cushy whatever *yawn* is not what life is about... she is obviously jealous of the non material things in her life that she doesn't have (emptiness). Insulting fills that void for her...

I would give up all of the material things in life that I have for love and peace....
