Need help finding the title of a movie!!?

I don't know who acts in it and I remember watching it when I was a little girl. Possible in the 80's or early 90's. Don't remember too much about the movie all I remember is that there is a boy living in between the walls and if I remember correctly his tongue was chopped off. There was a family living in the house and I think that he becomes friends with a girl that is living there. Please help!!

I cant find the answer, but i remember it. it went something like his mother left him in the house when he was a little boy and told him to hide. She died, the house was sold, when he was a teenager, a family moves in the house, and he lives in the attic and in the walls, while there sleeping he comes out and steals food. he also looking at the teenage girls in the house thur holes, then one of the girls catch him and the become friends....I thought robby benson was in it, but there isn't anything like it listed under his name.
