What supplies do mst bartenders bring to use on the job?

To be completely prepared for the shift exactly what supplies does a bartender want to bring to the bar? So far the list is a towel, and a cutting knife. Tip jar is optional because not all bars allow or operate with tip jars out. And a vermouth sprayer is optional also. Some bars also have shakers availible but some do not.

I bartended for a long time and I have worked at places ranging from strip clubs, dance clubs,hotels, reception halls, private parties, and a country club. Never not once have I been responsible for bringing my own supplies to work with me. Never. In my opinion, if a bartender is required to bring their own supplies/equipment, it's obviously not a very good bar.

Some bartenders are very particular. Personally, I used to take my own bottle opener and my own cocktail shaker. The only reason I used my own shaker was because it was very, very light and easy to use when doing flair.

But really, the only supplies that are necessary to bring: a good, fun loving attitude and a comfortable pair of shoes.

what bar doesn't have a shaker? tip jars don't make much sense, people will just leave you dollars with their drinks. bring a wine key with a sharp knife, a flat bottle opener, a few pens, and some gum or mints so you have nice breath. the bar really should have towels too!!! are you the bartender or are you outfitting the whole place?

I have been a bartender in many, many, bars I never needed to bring anything of my own to work except a bottle opener.
