U can always try the sims 2 body shop to dress ur charecters. But I think u cant create dress or furnitures by urself. But for hints ,u can go to the following site

The graphics of the video are relient on the power of your computer.
If your video card is only the recommended, then your video quality will suffer.
I have just over the recommended, and it's still choppy =(
