It's a gay & black term/word. It means, A guy who is black on the outside but white or caucasian values in the inside.
For me, I don't think it's a pleasant & appropriate term to be labeled to Filipinos.
We are not black outside & we don't wanna be Caucasian inside. We are one of a kind. Deal with it.
Ok, some Filipinos are living & working abroad but it doesn't mean they want to be white.

If I was you, I would NOT let these people get to you.
People who like to offend others by hiding behind the internet are the same people who would not dare step out in view and make themselves known to others is really childish.
Its all psychological, some individuals need to offend others to feel better about themselves because they have insecurities about themselves without realizing it.
Mind games.

someone here in yahoo says that it is not correct to label us filipinos as oreo because it refers to african who wanted to be white.the correct term instead is banana or twinkie(?)yellow outside but white inside.i have no issues about that as long as i know who i am inside and out.we filipinos easily blends with any nationality and they are envious who label as such.masarap kz oreo isawsaw sa milk ,masarap din ilagay sa ice cream at masarap din sa cake at kahit wala kasama masarap din.iyan ang oreong pinoy!!!!
