I want to find the right perennials to plant in my yard that are safe for little ones to play around? (Non toxic?) Any websites that have info on plants/pictures/etc?

If you want information that's non-biased and not stuck trying to sell you a certain brand name, use university sites. Just go to Google and type in the subject, followed by site:edu. So for instance if you live in Maine, you could type "toxic plants maine site:edu" without the quotes.

if you can put up with the ads, Better Homes and Garderns has SPECTACULAR information, drawings, plant by scientific and common name, plants by region, and a download for creating your own landscape.

It also has model or sample gardens, it's simply fantastic.
