I'd like to know how you got a mongoose, since is illegal to import them to US... unless you live in Hawaii, which have a nasty problem w introduced mongooses...(or mongeese?)

They eat everything. Cat food is actually pretty close to their natural needs and it can be given almost exclusively. Eggs, insects, frozen mice, veggies, a whole chicken, etc can be given for food as well.

May I suggest to keep a ferret instead? They are close cousins, they already come neutered and descented, highly intelligent and active, and their behavior is very similar. They have better appetite in the domestic environment. They will not try to kill you like a mongoose will either.

Lets see first off, don't keep a mongoose as a pet, they aren't PET type animals, secondly, they don't eat in a domestic environment because they aren't domestic creatures. They eat snakes and scorpions and other large bugs in the wild. You will get attacked if you try to keep this mongoose mark my words!
