My fuckbuddy left his underwear- a string bikini, and I'm curious to know why he may have done that. What do you all think?

For the same reason women leave their panties at a lovers house. Not only to mark her territory but so when you see them later on your floor or wherever they were left you remember what happened. It's a reminder of them. Plus it gives you incentive to call them and for them to come back over under the pretense of picking them up when really? They're there for more sex.

Probably just forgetful. I've left personal effects at one of my partners houses before (I'm poly) and it wasn't intentional, just an act of forgetfulness. Especially if he regularly goes commando or had a spare pair with him.
If you're curious as to your ****-buddy's intent then the best thing to do is to ask him yourself.

maybe he's giving you (or him) an exuse to come back all the time (to retreive the item)
or maybe he's hoping that if you have anybody else coming around for the same purpose, that they might see his undies, and get jelous, and stop coming over. maybe he just wants you to be his exclusively. but he doesnt want to say so, cause he doesnt want to freak you out.
maybe he's in love with you. shame poor dude.

Probably to mark his territory. Maybe he think you have other guys coming over and he wants to make his presence known.

I think he wants you to feel close to him & he definately wants you to remember him.
My friend & I we swaped boxers because we want to feel close, and we have something realy personal from eachother.
I think also he wants to come back for more.
