This past week, a friend of mine, who was celibate during "courtship" and recently married her soul mate in September of last year was "seperated" from her spouse. The day after he left on a week's work trip, she developed severe nausea, dizziness, and just not feeling herself. After 4 visits to her doctor, and many numerous blood tests and urine samples, all coming back negative, she still is feeling "under the weather"...... I mentioned that she may be love sick... ? Upon knowing of her partners' coming back tommorrow, she lit up saying although she had to wait the whole day again to see him... she wished she would get better... ??
My deriviation of all this, is that she formed a bond, although being independant before "joining" him on her journey, her longing of being "one" is greater than she "thought"...
Am I right in my judgement ?

Peace

xx

love is not an illness. but you can honestly miss someone so much that you feel physically ill. when someone you love is away from you for whatever reason, you worry about them, you miss them, wonder if they're getting enough to eat, and you wonder if they're safe, etc. and it's perfectly normal to feel that way.

Well , it's hard to say , depends on what exaclty the doctor tested her for. If the tests are not specific noone can be sure, for example did they give her a maternity test, did they check her stomach for any abnormality, sometimes viruses cannot be detected easily . She might have had the stomach flu or was her husband celibate also....if not maybe she got an std.
I know you said your friend was independant, some people can be completely independant in their actions and work life, but if they do not live alone they might have some problems being alone.
On the other hand, how is your friends mental state, did she live with her parents before she got married. If so you could be partially correct and it might be that she has some attachment issues. I do hope your right and that it is just a simple case of being love sick. Although it is not a healthy way of life to be so dependant on someone else.

HI there, this is something I have never heard but maybe I can share this with you. You mentioned the sickness as being dizzy, having nausea are all sickness caused by something she eat or she did not have enough sleep. This has got to do with something she has eaten or done beforehand.

Love sick is something described eg like you miss someone and you feel lathargic, no mood to work, etc. These are caused psychologically.

As to the explanation of hearing that the partner is back, she is definitely happy to hear the news and this is also psychological (in the mind). Therefore, feeling happy, your friend would feel better, more alive and like nothing happened. So hope you are clear on that matter.

Your friend could have had an emotional trauma, but love isn't an illness, it's a four letter word that can cause you to deal with another four letter word "hell", when things don't go the way you'd like in a relationship. It's not good to become that in tuned with another person which could cause you your health and mental state to be diminished no matter how much in love you think you are.

Some people when there lonely or strive for attention, conger up illness's or problems to attract attention or to get people to care about them. This can even be subconsciously and if you mentioned your theory to the person it could be highly offensive.
