Last time when i missed my bike key. That time my friend disconnected the harness coming to the starter switch and asked me to kick it. I realised that time, the bike can be started like this when we miss the key.

So i want to know the functions of the starter switch and the key that serves in any 2 wheeler.... More....re.....eeeeeeeeeeeeee details pls...

You didn't mention the make and model of your bike.

Most bikes built after 1985 have a switch in a guarded position. If your friend pulled the wires off he must have used a jumper wire or touched some of the wires together.

New bikes that I am familiar with would not start and run without some tricky wiring work, and the switch on new bikes is usually built into some sort of guard so you have to have tools to get at it.

Your switch is only a kill engine switch, it has to connect to ground to kill the engine. Disconnecting it, disconnects ground it's that simple.
This may not work on all bikes. Why? Looking for a 5 finger discount?
