This need not be so. In the long run cuningness doesn't work. It's just the smart work of yours will stay with you for ever. Smartness means Presenting things in a different way. Ones you express your view's and ideas in a different way doesn't mean you are cunning, it means you are smart dear. Cunningness is the foolishness of a person who thinks he is acting smart, but actually he isn't.

Smart people are not necessary cunning. Cunning people are smart in a cunning way.
Example: A smart person does a very good job. The cunning person will find ways and means to take the credit for the smart person's work.

A smart can be cunning but a cunning can not called be smart. Smart means a person express his every expression in great with diplomatic style. Smart can hide his cunningness through his smartness. Other-side cunning means a person who cheats, extracts . How he/she can be called smart when the intentions are clear.

theres a lot of diffrence between 'smart' and 'cunning'.
smartness is that that one holds the best way as he can. and the style that he presents or behaves or lives. he is best and good on his line.
And the another character cunning is very boring and stupid role that one plays by thinking that he is smart upto him.infact he has the worst thinking power.
no. smart people are not cunning. ifanybody feels jelous of his/her smartness they feel that he/she is cunning.
its just a missunderstanding.

In a way, it may be appropriate to use the word 'cold' instead of 'cunning'. Smart people at difficult times takes cold decisions to keep their hands off the turmoil. They at times stinks. Try to keenly watch them at close, may be you can realise this. But still smart people are smart.

Hmmmm, its really more in depth than that. I believe girls are more cunning than boys being that its easy for them to manipulate a guy(especially if they're pretty). Smarter...well, what do you mean by that? Common sense or academically smart? More and more women are going in and out of college than guys, so I say girls claim the "smart trophy".
