lets say i buy some insurance , my qoute was 92 a month how soon could i use oh say $5,000.00 for a knee surgery?

The only appropriate source for the information that You need , is the insurance provider. They well may have a reservation providing coverage due to "a pre-existing condition"...Most insurance coverage has a waiting period to provide coverage/payment for a medical or surgical problem that You had when You began Your coverage.

some policies are for emergencies like ruptured appendix, broken bones, not scheduled surgeries for joint repairs
