1998 mercury sable wagon I am unable to find the high voltage fuse box inside the engine it is supposed to be near the battery. When I turn the car on it smokes inside the car.

If the engine has a fuse box it will be very obvious and not hidden.

OH man, my boyfriend just had this problem. The main fuse kept popping out. I'm not sure where your fuse box is, but your problem is not so fun. In order to fix this, you are going to need to figure out why the fuse is popping [most likely an electrical short someplace] and fix it. But if you want to find the fuse box, you can go to your local library and they should have the Haynes or Chilton's Manual for your car. That will tell you where it is located in your car.
