I have a 2004 BMW 325i. I've been using the same key for almost 3 years and all of a sudden, the remote is dead. Anyone knows how to get it working again? (I drive EVERYDAY) Is there any ways to change the 'rechargable' battery inside?

If you read the manual, it says that the battery in the key is automatically charged when you insert it into the ignition. I've found the power of my 2003 525i key to have become less effective over the past few months that I've had it. Just stick it in the ignition and it should charge up.

If it has become really bad, consider calling a dealer to buy a replacement key. They're a tad bit expensive, so try "charging" it before hand.

Yeah most likely you need to find a tiny screwdriver and look for the screw(s) you can remove from the keyfob, then once you get it apart you can get the battery out and most any electronics department store should stock a replacement (Walmart, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc...) they only cost a few dollars.
Insert new battery, put it back together, test and voila.

btw, really tiny screwdrivers is what I needed for mine, like the kind you get in a hobbyist kit.
