if the standard ' tricks' for morning sickness do not work or help, you may have hypermesis. I have it. it is a sever form of morning sickness and like you said it takes over your life.

i actually lost a job because of it.

Vomiting does not always make you feel better. But dont force it. you can cause damage to yourself by forcing yourself to vomit.... i often felt a little better but worse (i mean stuff comes out your nose too when you vomit... not sexy lol)

Talk with your OB. he or she can give you meds for it. I have been on phenergan, reglan, and something that melts in your mouth that starts with a z. lol

they all help!

Congrats on your pregnancy and i hope you are feeling better soon.

Things that help:
Eating small meals frequently (i found that i was more prone to getting sick when i had no food in my tummy for long periods of time)
Not drinking while eatin (waiting until after)
Peppermint
Ginger (i get pure ginger and sugar cane in candy form from the health food store... works 100 times better then ginger ale)
Water with a little bit of lemon
Saltine crackers. (eat them real slow when you feel your tummy tossing. i used to let one sit and soak in my mouth while i sucked the salt off then ate a ginger candy... usually helped within a few minutes)

if none of the above helps or gives you long term relief... its time to talk to the Dr about medications. I love my reglan. Phenergan makes you sleepy, so i take that at night. I have been using them for about 19 weeks now.

I always found that the vomitting made the nausea go away. But it's not a good solution if you can avoid it (and if you can avoid it, I'm so jealous of you!)

There are several medications they can prescribe to help you during this time. The most common in Phenegran (Promethazine) but it can zonk you out and make you very sleepy. Reglan is also quite popular however more expensive. Then there is good ole Zofran (aka Gold in pill form- it runs about $50 a pill, so have good insurance!)
There are a few others, but those three I have the most experience with.

Call your doctor asap. They will call you in something. Good luck sweetheart, hopefully it will be gone soon!

You might feel better if you vomit; however, things to try...keep crackers by your bedside. Upon awakening, sit up very slowly and do not stand up right away. Eat some of the crackers before moving from the bed. They will soak up some of the acid on your stomach.

Take some crackers with you to work. When feeling nauseated, eat your crackers. Avoid those that wear heavy colognes. They will cause you to puke on them.

Steer clear of strong odors when possible. Odors such as cleaning fluids, perfumes, spicy foods, smokey foods, etc. Morning sickness should pass after a few weeks. Talk to your doctor to see what else can be done.

Some of us are more affected by morning sickness than others. Me personally had morning noon afternoon and night sickness. The first four months killed me. It never fully went away, but was managable. My doctor told me that the more the morning sickness, the move viable the pregnancy. Meaning a sucessful amount of hormones to make a good baby

I feel your pain. I am 16 wks pregnant and still fighting morning sickness everyday. Sorry to tell you but vommiting will not make you feel any better. I've tried it before. It's the hormones in your body that cause you to feel yuckie. I've tried everything that was recommended from What to expect when expecting and nothing seems to work. One thing that help me is everytime when I feel like vommiting I would suck on sour candy. For some reason that helps me. You shall try it and see if it helps you as well. Best wishes to you

I consistently discovered that the vomitting made the nausea circulate away. even in spite of the shown fact that it is no longer a competent answer in case you are able to keep away from it (and in case you are able to keep away from it, i'm so jealous of you!) There are various drugs they might prescribe to assist you in this time. the main undemanding in Phenegran (Promethazine) even in spite of the shown fact that it could zonk you out and make you very sleepy. Reglan is likewise fairly commonplace even in spite of the shown fact that extra high priced. Then there is stable ole Zofran (aka Gold in pill type- it runs approximately $50 a pill, so have stable coverage!) There are some others, yet those 3 I quite have the main journey with. call your wellbeing practitioner asap. they'll call you in some thing. stable good fortune sweetheart, with a bit of luck it will be long gone quickly!

The main cause of morning sickness is a combination of issues related to the chemical changes your body is going through. Mix a pinch of nutmeg powder with a table spoon of gooseberry juice, and take it thrice a day. Sip little by little ginger juice mixed with honey before you get out of bed. I know exactally how you feel im 3months prego and I have been so sick, every smell makes me sick. Just thinking about food makes it even worse. In my case when I throw up it helps make the nausea go away but dont force yourself to throw up. I also find that pepermints, sprite and mint gum help. Good luck

You will in a way because you are getting rid of the stuff inside you. on the other hand you will not feel betetr because you are more sick and the taste of it and actually VOMITING. These are signs of poregnancy however you are not pregnant. People can still got hrough pregnancy symptoms even though they are not pregnant.
