Security Clearance Question?

As an 18 year old I faulted on a two credit cards for a total of about 2 thousand dollars. How much will this play a part in a security clearance by the American Government

You wont get it. People with credit problems are viewed as more easily corrupted and therefore willing to sell information.

You don't stand a chance. Fix your credit and wait for 7 years, then try again, maybe that works out. I said "maybe."
