My girlfriend and I are going to Vegas for St. Patrick's Day weekend and we aren't sure which bars or clubs we should hit up. We are 22 and pretty, but I really don't want to go somewhere TOO snobby and VIP like the Palms. I'd like to pay 0-20$ for cover. We were thinking RA (luxor), TAO (venetian), Tryst or Lure (wynn), Pure (caesars) or VooDoo Lounge (rio). Does anyone have any recommendations or reviews of those spots? How early should we arrive to avoid a super long line? Thanks.

RA in the Luxor is closed since last June

Voodoo Lounge is pretty cool if you are into dance type music. Cool anyway the view is amazing from the rooftop bar. There are free passes available here http://www.riovegasnights.com/vip.cfm?pass_club=rio just make sure you get there before 10pm as that is when they are are valid to and its gets very busy on saturday and sunday nights after 9.30pm. We went up at 9pm on sunday and had to wait only a few minutes for the elevator.

As the reviewer before me said make sure you try the "Witch Doctor", it is $26 but it is as big as your head though, one each should keep you going the whole night ;)

I have heard very bad things about Pure, Tryst is very very classy and very very snobby.

I would also recommend Light in Bellagio they usually hand out free passes outside the club right up until 12am. Nice small nightclub but very cool music, dark though.

Body English at Hard Rock is getting rave reviews but I haven't been sorry. My friends have been to studio 54 in MGM Grand and they loved it.

Whatever you do stay away from Coyote Ugly in New York New York, possibly worst bar in the world.

For the best in Music and Entertainment definatley go to RUM JUNGLE in the Mandelay Bay hotel. The club is extremely exciting with dancers above you swinging on vines, dancing in cages, keeping everyone entertained! It has a VIP section (smaller than most) and a Dance Floor on a higher ground with no drinking allowed (great for those who hate having a drink spilled by an over excited Danny Terio! The music is top notch and they remix some of the best songs I've ever heard.... You will need to slip one of the security guys a Five to use the mens bathroom.... Then watch those other guys in line as you are escorted to the front of the line! The security guys are proud of the fact that "money buys the best" and they play into it like its part of the show! (This is a huge secret so don't ruin it by telling everyone in the bar!)

My group of friends and I NEVER go to clubs on holidays, way too busy and way to expensive. Go down to Fremont Street, its outside, cheap drinks, live bands and alot of fun!!!! We are between the ages of 24-34 and we all live here, so trust us, thats where the fun is. Wait until after midnight to go to the clubs, it will be easier to get in anyway, especially if you are a group of cute girls, there should be no cover.....try Jet at the Mirage or Tangerines at the TI (treasure island) Those are the funnest. You cant go wrong just hanging out at the Hard Rock, you will be guaranteed a few celebrity citings!
Have Fun, be safe!

I have been to the VooDoo Lounge many times. It is a lot of fun and there is usually live music inside and then differenet music outside on the patio. The 'witch doctor" drink is awesome and so is the view of the strip.

From my understanding RA is closed. They're changing it into a different club. I've been to OPM which I thought was fun. Seven was great but I hear that's closed, too.
