Some people actually are alone. They have lost their friends and loved-ones, and miss them too badly to go out and meet new people. Many are in mourning for the people they lost.
Also, there are people who prefer to be alone, rather than to be around people who they really don't like.

Some people really are alone,and it's terrible for someone to be alone in this world.Some people have very small families and their families die out.And they have no friends,I am so happy that i have a family.It's terrible to be alone,i know some people like that?

Because they have no companion. Some people spent their time alone because they feel freedom.
Some people are unfriendly because they are rude or doesn't really like friends.

My friends mom, dad, and her brother treat her really bad so she always tells me how she feels like no one loves her ....... I try to comfort her
