I'm a 24 year old female and my fiancee' is 38....we met 3 years ago and have been together since. My family and his family are totally comfortable with our ages and our decision to get married.
We have a 3 year old daughter and he has a 20 and a 18 year old daughter and a 15 year old son who all just turned their ages.
The 18 year old isn't his biological child but he raised her form a toddler. He just got reconnected with the 20 year old after the mother left the state when she was only 5 months.
I often think about not our age difference but what others think.....i know i shouldn't but i can't help it!
His children love me and despite how close in age i am to his oldest child she welcomes me with open arms and even calls me mom.....and to top it off i'm a grandmother at the age 24.....my 20 year old step-daughter has a beautiful 1 year old son!

It can work! My father in law was 22 yrs older than my mother in law. It make for a crazy situtation. My father in law was 14 months older than my grandmother, and my mother in law was 3 yrs older than my mom. But it worked.! It was just funny to think that my husband's dad was only a dad @ 46, and my grandma was a grandma of 8 when she 45. I don't think there is an age limit on age. If your in love and happy, there shouldn't be a problem. I think my in laws kinda proved that.....lol

I think it is great that you met a man that you can spend the rest of your life with, and I think it is great that these children of his accept you and that they call you mom. There is nothing wrong with being a grandmother at 24, just think you will be the hottest grandmother out there:). If his and your family doesn't care, you shouldn't either, age is just that age, it has nothing to do with what the person is like inside and if you and him connect on a deeper level then go for it. I know that you might worry about the age or what other people think about it, but my best friend is dating a guy that is 11 years older and he is the love of her life. Congrats on the engagement and I hope everything works out well.

Well, I am assuming that this a question that you had to have asked yourself before you said that you would marry this guy... so if you were okay to continue dating him and moving on with him, deciding to spend the rest of your life with him, then that is all that matters. I don't think that age is an issue at all... as long as he makes you happy that is all that matters... about being a grandmother at 24, you will not be the first or the last.... enjoy your life and don't worry about the small things... If you love him and being with him, you will be fine... Good Luck.....

Does it matter what others think? NO!, it doesn't if your gonna live life with what others think then your life won't be as fun. LIVE LIFE LIKE YOU MEAN IT, life is too short to worry about such little things of what other think. And it really doesn't matter how close your age is to the kids, do you know if your young you kind of understand and how they feel about things more?

wow. It sounds great hon, take advantage of it. The age difference doesn't amount to a hill of beans, as long as he treats you right hon. I married my ex when I was 27 and became an instant mom to his three kids. It took them a long time to accept me, and they never did call me mom as they were close to their own mom, even though we had custody of them. But I had a lot of problems with his middle daughter not wanting to accept me at all. Count your blessings honey and who cares what people think, you sound happy.

as long as you and him are both over the age of 18....you are doing just great regardless of any combination of age difference you can come up with. you are happy, he is happy, everything is great!

i think its great i feel its what in your heart and soul along as you talk and youre happy and dont worry about other i marry a great girl my self and she is 27 years old and i am 52 years old and she could care less about our age its what we feel in our heart
