After I do a full install of windows 98se , what drives might I need,how would I know which ones I need and were would I go to get them

I think it would be easier to get a XP or Vista before installing External drives. If you mean Storage drives, i suggest 100GB.
An 2.0 port at the back of your computer would do:

I THINK you're asking about DRIVERS not DRIVES (as in Hard\Floppy)

IF you are talking about DRIVERS, IF 98 doesn't find and install the drivers you can download this free program and (hopefully) it will identify and inform you of what sound, video, etc card is in your computer.

You can then go to the card's manufacturer's website and download the drivers for 98.

If the BELARC program DOESN'T indentify your cards, the ony other choice you have is to open your computer and remvoe the cards to see if you can find a Company name and\or model number\name.
