sometimes the car chimes and sometimes it doesn't. tried diconnecting the ground cable for a min. to reset computer but that didn't help. The battery is always charged so it's not major, just annoying.

usually when the battery light comes on it means your alternator isn't charging properly.

Get a Haynes Repair Manual at the local Auto Zone or auto parts store in your area. It will troubleshoot and show you how to fix your vehicle. Also on the Auto Zone site has a section for vehicle maintenance
The book will tell you exactly what to do.

Coulb be minor could be the diode trio fixing to kick the bucket in the altanator. Also could be brushs wearing out to. and a dirty or loose battery connection and a hard one to find sometimes is a loose power wire on starter.
