Certain sentence types require inverted word order, in which a verb is placed before the subject. These types include interrogative sentences, conditional clauses without if, and declarative sentences that begin with negative or restrictive words such as never, rarely, scarcely, hardly ever, and not only.
Some examples:
Hardly a week goes by without a distaster happening in some part of the world.
Seldom have I read such a good book.
Little did we know about what was going on at that time.
Rich as you may be, you can't buy sincere friends.
Had I known who she was, I would not have come on her that hard.

Inverted means in the opposite order, so put the words in the opposite order.

Atheist = no belief in God. Period. Some atheists go so far as to assert that there is no God. But, you can be an atheist without any position at all on the matter of "God." If you do not believe in God, you are an atheist. There is a difference between not believing in God and believing that there is no God. The difference is that those who simply do not believe in God have no burden of proof. Those who believe that there is no such thing as God have a burden of proof to bear that they can't.

It sounds like you need to put a list of words in ABC order backwards.

Normal English syntax uses the SUBJECT + VERB order in sentences.
Mary (SUBJECT) loves (VERB) John (DIRECT OBJECT).
Inverted order is what is used in a question.
Does (AUXILIARY VERB) John (SUBJECT) love (MAIN VERB) Mary (DIRECT OBJECT)?
