Is it better to give than receive?

Yes and I could dance and sing to that one! I believe that I will receive rewards in the afterlife for giving and helping others. Especially when NOONE sees it but my Father in heaven. That's when the points really add up. Give and and don't let anyone know what your doing. Wait and see how God rewards you!

Generally the giving habit is acquired from people whom you admire. It is mostly practised by people who have been blessed with good moral education, be it formal or informal. Try and avoid expectations in the process of giving.Besides money,best to give from your treasure is your quality time. Listening in an empathetic manner itself is a big act of GIVING. There is absolutely no harmin RECEIVING if the philosophical thought and practical utility behind such receiptd is same as in case of GIVING.

I was going to say give, but the whole reason we give is to receive one thing or another....even if it is just a warm feeling inside knowing you made someone else happy.

I like to give...I recieve happiness and pleasure knowing I have made someone happy :)
