I have no earthly idea. If you ask me, I think the producers as well as the American voters have completely forgotten the show's true purpose. American Idol has gone from being a highly-rated singing competition, to a candy-coated popularity contest, to now the next best thing to the Miss Universe--or should I say Mr/Ms. Universe--pageant. Such a joke it is...and quite an unpleasant one!

The only other season I've followed besides this one, was the one with Reuben and Clay. I like trying to figure out who will be leaving each week, but I'm really beginning to get VERY irritated that Sanjaya is still around.

for me its Simon, who is quite hated, but seriously, he is a natural honest speaker and right most of the time.
but having Sanjaya on definitely has kept me away from the show for a while now. seriously, that kid has no talent. he has proved nothing since the 1st audition. wish he would go so that i could go back to my normal viewing.

People just watch to hear Simon blast someone, Secondly to see some poor guy or girl make a fool of themselves so we can wonder why their family or friends didn't 'tell them' lol .....personally It bores me now-actually it's bored me for a long time.

I hate that I can't stop watching sometimes. It is because it is addicting. Some people get emotionally attatched to the contestants.
