Honestly, she's an adult. You can't make her succeed at this point, she has to do that herself

Perhaps she is studying in a wrong way, and she is not learning what she needs to know.

If she is studying some engineering or science subject where examinations consist mainly of solving problems, then the best way to prepare for this kind of exams is to practice solving problems similar to the ones that are likely to be on the exam.

Memorizing and understanding concepts without much practice in applying them is a sure way to fail on exams that emphasise parctical applications and problem solving.

Practice makes perfect. And to prepare fo problem-solving type of examinations you need to practice problem solving as much as possible.

But your friend may be right in wanting to quit. She may be studying a subject that doesn't interest her a lot. And that's why she studying it in a wrong way.

Too many people choose their field of studies for reasons other than their interest in the subject. They want good salary and social prestige. And they forget that they can't become good at something that doesn't interest them a lot.

Perhaps your friend needs to make an appointment with an education counsellor at her school and consider changing her field of studies to a subject that interests her a lot.

When people are interested in a subject a lot, then learning and working within that subject is fun for them. And they often do it even on their own free time when they don't have to. And it's this constant practice and learning that often makes them geniuses in their field.

maybe she has a learning disability. maybe she is dyslexic. people that are dyslexic just learn differently. she needs a tutor that can understand how she learns and can apply that to how she will teach her.
