My Windos Audio will not properly initiate. Any way to fix it?

I went to the configuration, and it is set to automatically start on windows, but when windows comes on, it doesnt. how can i fix that?
Windows XP, Intel Centrino Duo, Nvidia 7600; HP Pavilion dv8000

First check your computer's wiring connections.
Second try to use an external set of speakers, if it works, then the problem is with your internal speakers and not the audio set up configration.

Try re-installing the Audio Drivers...
Download them if you have too.
