I currently have 3 of these great frogs, but they're in with my Betta in a 3 Gal tank.... I'm wondering if they'd be better off (and making less mess) in my 30 Gallon goldfish tank (with 3 fancies). Thoughts...... thanks!

Well a 3 gallon is a little crowded for 3 of these little guys. I hope that you have more luck with them than I did though. I had one in my goldfish tank and one in my beta tank. Both died in about 2 days. I think they died because I got some sick ones though. (still a little discouraging!) As far as I know they are good in any tank as long as your fish aren't too aggressive. The only problem with a goldfish tank is the amount of ammonia that goldfish produce. Your froggies will be very weak against this so you will have to do frequent water changes to make sure that your levels don't get out of control. As long as your goldfish don't badger it and you are willing to put in the extra work it should be fine!

I think the goldfish would try to eat the frogs. Goldfish usually don't attempt to eat one another, but they will eat anything smaller than themselves. Goldfish do secrete a lot of ammonia too. I'm not sure how the frogs would tolerate the ammonia. Something you need to think about is that the frogs have to come to the surface for air. That's a lot easier for them to do in a small tank. They might actually drown in a 30 gallon tank. You really need to keep that Betta in a seperate tank. Bettas fight with anything. They don't enjoy being with other fish.

An African dwarf frog won't be able to stay with a posh goldfish. it rather is using fact they're regularly scavengers and that they are able to feed on something no count number if it is ineffective or alive as long because it could extra healthy into its mouth. It additionally has sharp claws and palms that it makes use of to tear down large products of food into smaller chunks that it could swallow.

I would advise against that. The toxins any type of gold fish give out are a killer to Dwarfs and while it may not kill them right away, it will within a day or two. I'm speaking from experience here. I went thru 4 Dwarfs before I found someone that told me what it was because the young girl at the pet store said they would be fine together. They won't.

oh the dwarf frogs are so small. how big is your goldfish? remember goldfish might seem harmless but they are cannablistic. they'll eat anything small in their tank if they're big enough. ive seen 4 inch fancy goldfish swallow dwarf frogs before. honestly, i wouldnt do it.
