I'm only wondering because Larry Silverstein in a documentary on PBS said the following statements regarding WTC 7 which also fell on 9/11:
I remember getting a call from the, er, fire department commander, telling me that they were not sure they were gonna be able to contain the fire, and I said, 'We've had such terrible loss of life, maybe the smartest thing to do is pull it.' And they made that decision to pull and we watched the building collapse."
So, is it common practice to have explosives in your buildings just in case there is a disaster and you need to quickly demolish it? From my understanding it takes weeks of planning etc. to pull of a demolition...my goodness that man must be psychic to have forseen such things? And if that is the case, did he have "emergency" explosives wired in buildings 1 & 2? To prevent further loss of life, of course.

The video of him stating this on there, if you wish to see it.

Larry Silverstein was the owner of the WTC properties, just in case I didn't make that clear.

Fr-chuck...that seems like a hazard to have that in your building, I sure wouldn't want to work in a place like that...the Pentagon had a lot of stuff in it too...and it was obviously breeched...why didn't they blow that too?

Well then how was he able to "pull" the building the same day...I am thinking for myself...that is why I don't believe the line of crap from Bush....when the OWNER ADMITS TO DEMOLISHING IT?!! What else do you need, seriously!?

Yupchagee, the OWNER said he made the decision to "pull" it, yet you still believe the lies...no jet fuel was on WTC 7, btw. Please at least get your buildings straight.

Bebe, I am only quoting Larry Silverstein and asking people to draw conclusions from that. I'm not wrong to point this out...why shouldn't obvious discrepancies be discussed.
And no I'm not helping the terrorists, stop using Bush's devisive rhetoric to attack someone who uses their brain as opposed to just believing everything they are told.

When you do a controlled demolition you just dont place explsoives on the floor or near the walls or columns, etc. You have to make pre-cuts and other prepatory work. I think the people in the buildings would have noticed people with blow torches pre-cutting the steel (not to mention all the smoke and noise) and then wiring up explosives!!
For more information on demolition go to Dallas Contracting Co., Inc.

To do it so that no one will notice, should take the best part of a year. To do it out in the open where everyone can see what you are doing should take about a week with a lot of highly skilled workers.
It could not be done at the WTC, in either case, unless the New York Fire Department and the Fire and Building Inspectors and all of both the occupants and the cleaning staff were total idiots or part of the Terrorist gang.
Forget that story. It just could not happen. It's a story circulated by nud-nics or dope-heads.

Well, if you look at how long it took to plant explosives to bring down a 33 story building, you would begin to get an idea, just how long it might take for other buildings.
In the case of the 33 story building in Detriot the link below deals with, it took 4 months of site preperation and then 24 days of actually planting and wiring the explosives.

It would have taken several hundred man hours to rig the building.
A half hour before WTC 7 collapsed, the BBC broadcast live that it had it had collapsed and in the background of the clip you could see WTC 7 was still standing with smoke coming out of it.

For the last time...the quote was "Pull OUT" not "Pull IT." Pull OUT as in "We can't save the building; we've already lost 300 firefighters today...should we risk more lives?" If you think about it, the "pull IT" claim makes no sense in the context of the full interview (not to mention the rather unlikely fact that Larry Silverstein would be stupid enough to admit that he ordered his own building to be destroyed during a taped interview).
Common sense aside, it should be clear by now that these "you should see this 9/11 video" questions are the same grade of Spam as the ones that say "I found a great way to make millions without working!" posts...
The fact that these people are trying to increase traffic on their sites at the expense of one of our greatest national tragedies is shameful...

remember that Building 7 was the site of a secure government bunker and alot of government storage.
It is very possible because of this, it may have a fail safe to destroy it in case of breach.

It would have taken many people many days. People would have noticed & reported it. There were no, repeat NO explosives in any of the WTC buildings. There was NO controlled demolition. The heat from the burning jet fuel weakened the structure enough that its weight brought it down.
