I had this problem myself, there is an option under file types to highlight compressed files.
To restore the file names to black colors instead of blue ones do this procedure.
1. Open Windows Explorer or My Computer
2. Open Tools tab at top of the screen
3. Select Folder Options
4. Select View Tab
5. Uncheck the box for Show Encrypted or Compressed NTFS Files in Color.
6. Click apply to all folders tab

I hope this answsers your question

Hi there.

Somehow, you've changed your PC settings. The blue colored file names means it's being compressed. Black means uncompressed/normal files, and green ones are encrypted.

You'll get more blue files as you use Disk clean up more as the older files are compressed to save space.

It's normal if you've setup Disk Cleanup to do an automated task.

Hope this helps

it is not a virulent disease, loosen up.. The Blue colored data frequently recommend they're compressed or encrypted, verify by using suited clicking and going to residences. in many circumstances, some hidden data in C:/abode windows would be blue. i'd propose you to leave them on my own..

Heck, be glad it not white. I was typing to a friend in messenger and accidentally changed the font color to white. Nothing was showing on the screen. I was flipping out!

I believe the only way to fix this is to do a system restore, unless you know what is wrong specifically. I had the same problem.
