Like my question ^ says, I am wondering when would be the appropriate age for girls (or guys) to start using skin care products since some skincare products are a bit too strong for prematured skin.

What skin care line would you recommend? I've recently purchased some products from Shisheido: mosturizer, softener, cleasing foam, sunblock, and some eyecare products for dark circles and anti-wrinkles around the eyes.

Is 17 a good age to start?

If you are 17, I don't think you have to worry about wrinkles around the eyes just yet. I think 17 is a fine age for someone to start using moisturizer, etc. A lot of teenagers probably start using some facial products in their early teens. I think I started using stuff like that when I was 13 or 14.

17? Girl your lucky if you have no acne. There are people who have bad skin at 12 or even 13. Yes there are some very strong product that should not be used on sensitive skin but each user should have a briefe knowledge already about the product they use. besides usually when you buy a product there are warning labels and ingredients on there tha labels it. I would say use skin care products when you feel like you need it. Sometimes they do work good and its better to try than to lose. I would recommend Avons Clearskin. It comes in a complete set and just use it like daily and your skin should be fine. Works for me.

Yes, but it all depends on when you hit that woman stage when ur face and hormones start going crazy every girls diff. Just keep it simple maybe Clean & Clear Johnson & Johnson products they work for any age or skin type and around a young lady's budget.

I started at 15. You don't need to buy specialty products. Research has proven that most stuff you buy at Target is just as good, no matter what your age. Stay away from anything acid at your age. I would recommend Dove, Aveeno and Neutrogena for your age. Plus they have lots of stuff to target breakouts and the lone pimple. Good job on the sunblock - just make sure to get one for faces so it doesn't make you break out!

Wrinkels around they eyes???? at 17??? you dont need all the crap!!! just keep it simple. if your skin is oily wash it wish a face wash in the shower and then moisturize afterwards. and in the mornings just wash with warm water and a good moisturizer with 15+. when you have pimples you might want to think about using a toner with alcohol in it to un clog the poors. and for a treat you might want to do a face mask once a week or fortnight, you dont want to use to many products as they are all harsh, and change the natural balance in the skin.

yes 17 is OK but don't use color till your 21 use neutrals they help preserve your skin and eyeliner till 19 because you can get an eye infection if your to young and your eyes aren't completely mature yet
