3 years my live in and i have been together it has been a very abusive relationship i finally have gotten the power and the right frame of mind to end it my problem is he will not or says i cannot take my belongings i own everything which i brought with my own money long before he ever came in the pitchure he is being a real tyrant i do have the legal right to take my belongings do i not ?

Yout things belong to you, this is just another way he has of trying to control you. Get the police if you have to and go get your things.

If you bought everything, then it is yours. Move out while he is working and take your stuff with you. If you can't do this, then call the police and take them with you to pick up your stuff. Your not married, so none of it is legally his.

Yu were strong enough to stand up and get out...be strong and get new stuff....do a whle new make over it will take tome but it will be worth it to seperate yourself from everything...

yes you have a legal right and you should have someone, preferably a policeman accompany you when you go to collect your belongings.

Call the police and have assistance from them while you go there to move YOUR STUFF in to YOUR NEW PLACE and tell him to Go play with himself!!!!!!!!!
